WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE?

ARMED SECURITY / LAW ENFORCEMENT / MILITARY
The Defensive Pistol Course is designed for those who have a minimum basic knowledge of safe gun-handling and shooting fundamentals. The majority of the day will be on the range performing various drills. Students must be able to provide proof of these basic handgun handling skills such as a CCW Permit, NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course, Military, Law Enforcement training, Armed Security.
Topics to be covered include safety, stance, malfunctions, movement drills, multiple threats, reloads, one-handed shooting, unconventional shooting positions and the mindset needed to by an effective defensive pistol shooter.
This is a physically demanding course and will require the student to go to a kneeling, supine and lateral position and recover from these positions in a safe manner.
Student will need to provide eye and ear protection, semi-auto pistol or revolver, three (3) magazines/speedloaders with carrier, appropriate retention holster designed for your handgun (no generic nylon), sturdy gun belt, minimum of 350 rounds of range ammunition, note taking materials.
